A-State runs well at Brockport

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College track & field team had a strong showing at the SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon as they competed versus NCAA Division III and NJCAA competition.

Dan Fabiny (Wellsville) had a big day as he won the 200 m dash (22.48) and finished 4th in the 100 m dash (11.19).  He was also a part of the 2nd place 4 x 100 relay team (43.46).  In the relay he teammed with Alvin Flemming (Eastridge), Geoff Kobuszewski (Solvay), and Justin Kopta (Clymer).

Flemming also registered a 2nd place finish in the 100 m dash (11.07) while Zak Williamson (Rocky Point) was 3rd in the 1,500 m (4;15.18).  In the pole vault Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) finished 4th (4.12 m) and Alex Curran (Williamson) finished 6th (3.97 m).

Najia McGee (Rochester/Edison) led the women with a 2nd place finish in the 200 m dash (26.27) and a 3rd place finish in the 100 m dash (12.68).  Callie Ayers (Letchworth) finished 2nd in the 800 m (2:28.34) and Caitlyn Peterson (Wayne) had a great run in the 200, finishing 6th (27.19).  McGee, Ayers, Peterson, and Reaghan Bulkley (Avoca) also teamed to finished 2nd in the 4 x 100 relay (51.15).

Reynolds and Paul Farrell (St. Francis) will represent ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï in the Region III Decathlon on Sunday and Monday while the rest of the team will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Ithaca College for a 3:30 p.m. meet.
