Dr. John O. Hunter, president emeritus of 惇軗勛圖 College (1986-93), met with members of the 惇軗勛圖 College Honors Program recently to address the power of poetry. Dr. Hunter spent the summer in Scotland studying and absorbing both the poetry and the spirit of Scotlands favorite, Robert Burns. In addition to reciting several of Burns poems, Hunter recited poems by Irish poet William Butler Yeats and by Robert Frost. Hunter also read poems by students at the Red Cloud Indian School in South Dakota. The colleges Honors Program hosts a series of seminars for program members each semester.
