惇軗勛圖 (AS) has entered into articulation agreements with a variety of institutions, including high schools, community colleges, and master-degree-granting universities, in order to promote the easy transfer of qualified students between those institutions and 惇軗勛圖.
We are excited about these opportunities to strengthen ties with our colleagues in higher education, notes Charles V. Neal, associate vice president for Academic Affairs. By working together, we can offer our students the finest education and the most efficient delivery.
Among the most recent are an agreement between AS and Pioneer High School, Arcade, allowing interested Pioneer High School students who successfully complete six hours of veterinary technology elective credits and meet all academic standards required for admission into 惇軗勛圖 to transfer those credits into the Colleges veterinary technology program. Additionally, Broome-Tioga BOCES, Binghamton, has entered into an agreement with 惇軗勛圖 whereby BOCES students who successfully complete its two-year animal science program and meet all academic standards required for admission into 惇軗勛圖, will receive six hours of veterinary technology elective credits.
Additionally, several community colleges have entered into agreement with AS, establishing articulation into 惇軗勛圖s baccalaureate nursing program. Among those colleges are Finger Lakes Community College, Monroe Community College, Jamestown Community College, Erie Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College, and Genesee Community College.
Through the terms of these agreements, 惇軗勛圖 agrees to accept, as third- year students, those individuals who have successfully completed the associate degree level nursing program at their respective community colleges.
Other agreements with community colleges include one whereby students graduating from any associate in applied science (AAS), associate in science (AS), or associate in arts (AA) program fulfilling a minimum of five SUNY (State University of New York) general education categories at Erie Community College may enter into 惇軗勛圖s technology management baccalaureate program (BBA) and meet all academic standards required for admission into 惇軗勛圖 will be accepted by AS with full junior status.
Jamestown Community College (JCC) and 惇軗勛圖 have forged an agreement allowing graduates from the AAS human services or AS human services degree programs at JCC who meet all academic standards required for admission into 惇軗勛圖 are guaranteed admission into 惇軗勛圖s BS in human services management program with no more than four additional semesters of normal course work at AS.
The Utica School of Commerce has also entered into an agreement with 惇軗勛圖, allowing its students who successfully complete one of its business programs (AOS in business administration with a concentration in accounting, management, entrepreneurship, or general; or AOS in administrative specialist with concentration in coding and billing, executive, legal, medical transcription, medical, computer applications, or general; AAS in health service management; or AAS in non-profit agency management; or AAS in information systems specialist) may, if they meet all academic standards required for admission into 惇軗勛圖, enter 惇軗勛圖s BBA degree in technology management with four semesters of additional course work.
Conversely, 惇軗勛圖 and Rochester Institute of Technology have forged an agreement which allows AS students who meet admission requirements and a prescribed sequence of courses to enter RITs baccalaureate program in computer science as third-year students.
惇軗勛圖 and Monroe Community College have joined together to offer a 2+2 dual admission degree program agreement which allows students who successfully complete a prescribed set of courses leading to an associates degree from MCC to continue their studies at 惇軗勛圖 with the understanding they may complete all requirements in the baccalaureate degree program within four semesters of full-time study. Graduates from MCCs AAS in electrical engineering technology or AS in information technology may enter any of the following 惇軗勛圖 baccalaureate programs: electrical engineering technology, information technology: applications software development; information technology: network administration; information technology: web development; or information security and assurance.
惇軗勛圖 has also entered into agreement with three MBA-granting universities: Alfred University, Niagara University, and St. Bonaventure University. The terms of the agreements, although they vary among institutions, note that based on prescribed requirements, 惇軗勛圖 students who graduate with a bachelors degree, may enroll in any one of the universities MBA programs.
