The 2012 ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï volleyball season will kick off on Saturday when the Lady Pioneers welcome seven teams to the annual ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï Invitational. The blue & gold will begin play with a 9 a.m. contest with Baltimore City CC.
±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï will play in Pool A with Baltimore City, Herkimer County CC, and Butler (PA) County CC while Mohawk Valley CC, Nassau CC, Mercyhurst North East, and Jamestown CC will play in Pool B.
Pool play begins at 9 a.m. with all matches slated for best of three format. The top two teams in each pool with advance to the semifinals which should start approximately at 4:30 p.m. The finals will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.
±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï finished the 2011 season with a 23-17 record. In last year's ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï Invitational, Butler defeated Alfred 2-1 in the finals.
