Nat’l Organization Recognizes Excellence in Preparing Students for Success

߳Թ’s exclusive vendor of campus dining, vending and transportation, ACES (Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Services), has been awarded the 2012 Outstanding Multimedia/Emerging Technology award by the National Orientation Director’s Association. This is the second year ACES has earned the annual NODA distinction which recognizes excellence in the development of tools designed to help colleges and universities provide effective orientation services to new students.

The video, which uses a two-part, high energy format, guides both parents and students into healthy transitioning into a student’s first year on campus and was designed to help them make healthy, practical decisions on a day-to-day basis. It was produced by Peish Video Productions of Hornell and was narrated by ߳Թ student Joseph Reinhart, of Hornell.

“߳Թ has a retention rate that few colleges can boast about having and we believe much of that is due to the first experiences students have here,” said Spencer Peavey, director of Student Activities and Orientation. “This award this orientation video has earned proves that we are focused on student success and that’s just the start of what students can expect as part of an ߳Թ education.”

ACES is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the mission of ߳Թ. ACES offices are located on the ߳Թ campus. Other services provided by ACES include, the campus bookstore and laundry services.
