±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï Welcomes New Faculty and Staff

Several new faculty and staff members have joined ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï in the schools of Arts and Sciences; Architecture, Management & Engineering Technology; and Applied Technology as well as in the departments of Facilities Services, Student Life, Admissions, Library Services, Athletics, and Technology Services. New hires include:

Casey Cowburn of Andover joins ±¬×߳Թϒs School of Arts and Sciences as coordinator of the ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï Opportunity Program (ASOP) in the Learning Center. In this role, he provides general and academic advisement to freshmen. Prior to joining the college, he was a forensic clinical coordinator at the Allegany County Jail. Cowburn has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts.

Doug Foster of Hornell joins ±¬×߳Թϒs Facilities Services as a cleaner in the Physical & Health Sciences Building.

Michael Fox of Alfred joins ±¬×߳Թϒs Student Affairs as resident director for the MacKenzie South dormitory. Fox has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in computer science from Shepherd University.

Heather Mark of Dansville joins ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï as keyboard specialist I in Admissions. Previously, Mark worked as a chemical dependency counselor. She has an associate’s degree in applied science from Genesee Community College.

Catherine Miller joins ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï as an instructional support assistant in Library Services. Miller has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo.

Joshua Mudrick of Hornell joins ±¬×߳Թϒs Facilities Services as a cleaner in the Physical & Health Sciences Building.

Jon Owejan of Honeoye joins ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï as assistant professor, mechanical and electrical engineering technology. Prior to joining the college, Owejan was a senior research engineer for General Motors. He has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Alexe Pask of Williamsville joins ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï as an assistant athletic trainer. Pask has a bachelor’s degree in health care studies and a master’s degree in athletic training from Daemen College.

Jacob Perry of Springville joins ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï as instructor, culinary arts, on the Wellsville campus. Prior to joining the college, he was a chef at the Seneca Allegany Casino and Hotel. Perry has an associate’s degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in food service management from Johnson & Wales University.

David Phillips of Hornell joins ±¬×߳Թϒs Technology Services as a computer technician. Phillips has an associate’s degree in computer and electronics systems from ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï.

Lisa Summers of Arkport joins ±¬×߳Թϒs Facilities Services as a cleaner in the Document Center and the Huntington Administration Building. Summers earned an associate’s degree from ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alfred University.
