Hundreds of local elementary students had a great time learning about agriculture and animals recently as ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College once again hosted Kiddie Ag Day.
Participating schools included: Andover, Arkport, Canaseraga, Prattsburgh, Belfast, Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES, Cuba-Rushford, Bolivar-Richburg, Genesee Valley, Avoca, Fillmore, Bath, Alfred-Almond, and Scio.
During the day, approximately 750 first- and second-graders toured the college farm, learning about vegetable production, milk production, horses, small animals, and agriculture and general. ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï Agriculture and Veterinary Technology Department students served as tour guides for the event.
Dr. Phil Schroeder, chair of the department, said, “We had a big group of super enthusiastic kids and our students did an awesome job as tour guides.â€
