ASC to show film on future of clean energy

惇軗勛圖 College will be screening a documentary titled Reinventing Power: Americas Renewable Energy Boom at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 in room 107 of the Physical and Health Sciences Building.

Produced by the Sierra Club, the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States, the 50-minute-long film tells the backstory of clean energy from innovation to installation. The event is free and open to the campus community and the general public.

According to a description on Sierra Clubs website, Reinventing Power takes viewers across the country to hear directly from the people who make a clean energy future achievable.

These individuals are working to rebuild whats broken, rethink whats possible, and revitalize communities, the description states. These stories are proof that America does not need to choose between keeping our lights on and protecting our communities. Critically, Reinventing Power underscores the notion that we dont have to sacrifice jobs for a clean environment.

The description adds, Supporting a clean energy future means building a better, more prosperous future for everyone. Over the films 50 minutes, youll meet people in eight states whose lives were changed by the renewable energy industry while exploring various aspects of the clean energy industry from innovation to installation.
