Woodsmen team opens up 2022 season at ESF

The 惇軗勛圖 College (ASC) woodsmen team opened up the 2022 season with a strong showing at SUNY ESF. 惇軗勛圖 fielded a team in both the mens and Jack and Jill divisions.

The mens team finished second in the standings with 1,151 total points. The competition featured 14 different timber sports disciplines with the potential of scoring up to 100 points in each event. Paul Smiths College took the team title with 1,223 points.

The 惇軗勛圖 Jack and Jill team finished 4th place. Paul Smiths took the top spot in that competition as well.
惇軗勛圖 competed in the event with the SUNY ESF, Finger Lakes CC, SUNY Morrisville, Pauls Smiths, SUNY Ranger School, and the University of Vermont.

Woodsmen head coach Scott Bingham was pleased with the success. Bringing one of the smallest mens programs to the event and only missing first place by 72 points, out of a possible 1,400, speaks volumes to our teams tenacity. Our Jack and Jills team also did very well considering they had a team member replacement only five days prior to the event. I look forward to the continued development of our team as its members continue to hone their skills.

The team will be back in action on April 16 at SUNY Cobleskill.
