Open logging team dominates home meet

Members of the 惇軗勛圖 logging sports team compete at their home meet. The Open team won every event.

The Open logging team won every event in route to winning the team title at the 惇軗勛圖 fall meet. The mens team finished second.   

The open team of Brandon Aschauer (Schulyerville, NY), Colin Phelps (Callicoon, NY), Jacob Perry (Parishville, NY), Kenda Hammond (Otego, NY), Jack Niefergold (Arcade, NY), Blake Siewert (Perry, NY), and Tanner Reed (Waterloo, NY) scored a perfect 1,400 points to win by over 500 points. Finger Lakes CC was second (896.88) and SUNY Cobleskill (637).  

The mens team of Doug Taylor (Boston, NY), Tyler Hutcheson (Niagara Falls, NY), Finn Turner (Genoa, NY), Nedelcho Neuman (Naples, NY), Cole Bingham (Conesus, NY), Jesse Riling (Franklinville, NY), and Owen Ryan (Buffalo, NY) scored 1,189.94 points and finished second out of four teams that competed. They took the top spot in Super Swede, Crosscut to Hell, Barrel Split, Crosscut, Packboard, and Pulp Toss.   

SUNY ESF took home the mens title with 1,273 points, Finger Lakes CC won the womens title with 1,189 points, and Pauls Smith College won the Jack & Jill crown with 1,185 points.  

I dont think I have seen a team take first in every event ever, it certainly is a first for our team, commented Head Coach Scott Bingham. It was a comminating performance by our open team and our mens team was right there challenging for the top spot."   

Paul Smiths, SUNY ESF, SUNY Cobleskill, and Finger Lakes CC competed in the event.
