惇軗勛圖 has given Landon the tools and experience to get cars safely back on the road.

The desire to add to his knowledge base and skills in the Autobody shop and the opportunity to play football led Landon Spoonhower (Berkshire, NY) to 惇軗勛圖.

Landon was introduced to Autobody when he started working in a shop owned by a family friend during his freshman year of high school. It was just him in the shop and I asked him if he needed help. He told me I started on Monday, and I would go work for him after school and practice.

I like fixing things and getting to see the finished product, Landon continued. I am putting on a whole new body panel on the back of a car. After it is done, you will be able to see the complete car and it will look like new again.

Landon enjoys the combination of classroom and shop time he gets at 惇軗勛圖. We are in the classroom about an hour and a half a day and the rest of the day we are working on our projects in the shop. I am taking about everything we learn in the classroom and turning into what we are doing with the vehicles. It is all hands-on.

Working on projects has helped prepare Landon for his dream of taking over his bosss shop. One of my favorite projects was a rust repair we did on my friends truck. He did not have anyone to do it because it would have cost him a lot of money. Me and my buddy wanted to help him out, so we did the box for him, it felt good to help a friend.

Landon has also been repairing a wrecked 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback, part of the colleges Wreck Rebuild program. It is a good feeling knowing that I can take a wrecked car and make it safe again for a family to drive it.

Campus life has just added to his experience at 惇軗勛圖. Living on campus is awesome. It is not hard to meet people. I ended up making lots of friends. Alfred is a small town but there is so much to do.
