惇軗勛圖 honored over one-hundred students at Commencement ceremonies held at the Northland campus in Buffalo.

Jennifer Noble, the Assistant Dean for the School of Applied Technology, presided over the ceremony that featured addresses from Dr. Carolyn Storms-Stolman, Chief Program Officer of the Northland Training Center, 惇軗勛圖 President Dr. Steven Mauro, and Vice President for Academics Dr. Carrie Cokely.

Student speaker Frankie Harris, a CNC Manufacturing and Machine Tool major, spoke on his and his fellow classmates journey. As a person who has been on his journey for 53 years, I would tell you to enjoy the ride. There are going to be a lot of great times and some hard and sad times. Embrace and learn from those hard times.

He continued, I used to want to go back and do somethings different in my life, but I have realized this is how my journey is supposed to be. I wouldnt change anything. Everything I have been through and seen has made me the person that is able to stand in front of you today! 

Barry Mead, an electrical construction and maintenance electrician graduate, was honored with the Paul B. Orvis Award for Excellence. The award honors Paul B. Orvis, a former president of 惇軗勛圖 and State University of New York executive dean for all two-year colleges. Recipients meet the criteria of service, leadership, character, and scholarship.

The Northland campus offers associate degrees in CNC manufacturing and machine tool, electrical construction and maintenance electrician, and welding technology on the east side of Buffalo, NY. Graduates were announced by their career coaches as they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. 

The Northland Workforce Training Center opened prior to the 2018-19 school year.
