Tamanna Kabir presents at Economics Conference

惇軗勛圖 Assistant Professor Tamanna Kabir, fifth from the right, recently presented at the Southern Economic Associations annual meeting.

惇軗勛圖 Assistant Professor of Economics Tamanna Kabir attended and was a presenter at the 95th annual meeting of the Southern Economic Association in Tampa, FL.

Kabir presented her research paper Long-term impact of educational incentives on women The Case of Bangladesh during a session entitled Policy and Social Dynamics: Labor Market and Welfare Impacts in Bangladesh. In the session she teamed with colleagues from across the country to share their work on the topic.

"Attending the conference was an exciting and rewarding experience, commented Kabir. I had the opportunity to engage with contemporary research and participate in meaningful discussions with fellow academics from across the country. It was a wonderful opportunity to represent 惇軗勛圖 on a broader academic stage, and I look forward to sharing what I gained with colleagues and students. I am grateful to the Business Department and the Alfred community for their continued support."

The conference brings together scholars from across the country and provides a valuable platform to share and discuss current research in economics.
