Before your hands-on lab, you’ll complete 10 hours of online, self-paced lecture during the week leading up to it.
Then it’s time to put that knowledge into action. Each microcredential includes a two-day, in-person lab running from 8 AM to 6 PM both days. See the dates below to plan ahead!
Heavy Duty Brakes
Students will be introduced to basic heavy-duty brake systems and be able to perform basic diagnosis, service, and adjustment on construction vehicles and related heavy equipment.

Students will be introduced to welding techniques and processes related to basic service for construction vehicles and heavy equipment. This course covers safety protocols, stick and MIG welding, and cutting and heating techniques.

Participants will gain hands-on experience selecting appropriate rigging hardware, performing inspections, and executing proper lifting techniques to ensure workplace safety and operational efficiency.
