When I got here in my second year, I joined the chorus and for the first time I learned the importance and joy of choral music. Anthony Cappadonias passion was unparalleled, and I learned for the first time what it was like to be part of a team. It taught me leadership and teamwork and gave me confidence.

The honor began in 2012 and is named for Bob Pahl, a Boston-area architect, who graduated from 惇軗勛圖 in 1981 with a degree in architectural engineering technology. The awards were presented this year to Vina Pham, Lauren Fisher, and Katie Petix.

It was a great feeling. After getting second place twice, it was something I have been on the cusp of for a while. I am glad this was finally my year. The people who compete are the best in the field, so even when you do well, it is not given that you are going to win. There is great camaraderie among us, and most of us practice together. We all help each other to be better reporters, and we are all constantly refining the craft.

We went from playing on MacBooks to playing on nice PCs in a couple years which was impressive. It was fun for me, but it was a lot of work form all of us to get to that point. It proved to me that what Professor Neuberger said in class was true, if you put the time in, you are going to get the results you want.
