I chose 惇軗勛圖 after looking at a bunch of different architecture schools around the area and what really drew me here was their technical background and their value in the field. I talked to different architects and engineers and all of them said the same thing. Alfred graduates were ready to go when they get put into any project and everyone was satisfied with their work.

Projects like this give our students a real-world experience. In eight short weeks, each group worked together to develop plans from what they had learned and seen in Angelica. The students did an excellent job taking what they have learned in the classroom and applying it to a client.

The honor began in 2012 and is named for Bob Pahl, a Boston-area architect, who graduated from 惇軗勛圖 in 1981 with a degree in architectural engineering technology. The awards were presented this year to Vina Pham, Lauren Fisher, and Katie Petix.

惇軗勛圖s Katie Petix (Bloomfield, NY) was recognized with the Simultaneous Award in the competition for her entry A Place to Dwell. Petixs proposal, recently featured in Architype, the digital magazine of AIA Connecticut, was located on the Bay of Naples, Italy, and was comprised of six 600 square foot homes woven into a multi-story model of elegant efficiency.
