It is exciting to have Dr. King visit campus to meet with students, faculty, and staff on both our Alfred and Wellsville campuses. He has been traveling around the state visiting all the SUNY campuses. Given that there is nowhere else in the US with a higher concentration of students per resident, it is clear that SUNYs mission to provide education across New York is especially true in Alfred. These (people Jimmy and Gary) are legends of the institution and what they did allowed us to continue to cultivate that. That mentality still rings very true today to the legend of what Doc Bruce created. We are going to spend the time on students so that they can succeed in the real world.
