A silent auction of all the marionettes is held daily in the gallery from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Proceeds from the auction will go toward purchasing equipment for digital media and animation students.

The decoration, made of exterior plywood, is currently in front of the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce building, 114 N. Main St. in Wellsville. Students in the college’s building construction program built the Santa Claus and students in the digital media and animation program painted it.

Jeremy Speed Schwartz, assistant professor of Digital Media & Animation, will be delivering a talk as part of TEDxBuffalo, an independently organized TED event, on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 11:24 a.m. at Canisius College’s Montante Cultural Center. Professor Speed Schwartz will be discussing experiments and collaborations in science and art. ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï will also be broadcasting the event live on its own campus in the Student Leadership Center’s small event space.
