Lady Pioneers sweep Elmira JV

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College softball team opened up the Northern portion of their schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Elmira College JV on Thursday evening.  The Blue and Gold won the opener 11-7 and the nightcap 12-0.  ASC improves to 3-7 on the year. Read Article

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College lacrosse team won their second straight and improved to 3-1 (2-0 Region III) with a 17-11 victory at Genesee CC on Thursday.  ASC outscored GCC 7-1 in the 3rd quarter to take full control of the contest. Read Article

Baseball splits with Corning

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College baseball team split a Region III doubleheader versus Corning CC on Thursday at Bolivar Richburg High School.  The Red Barons took the opener 4-0 while the Pioneers won the nightcap 12-3. Read Article

Manage Your Small Woodlot for Fun and Income: Alternative Forest Farming Enterprises

A one-day workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College.  Open to the public, the workshop will be of interest to area woodlot owners, students of agriculture and/or natural resource management, and others interested in learning about forest farming enterprises suitable for this area.  Read Article

Blue and Gold open up New Stadium with Victory

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College lacrosse team opened up the new on-campus athletic field with an impressive 18-10 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday afternoon.  The Pioneers outscored the Saints 7 to 2 in the 2nd quarter to take solid lead that they never relinquised.  With the win, A-State improves to 2-1 (1-0 Region III) while Mercyhurst falls to 2-4 (1-2 Region III). Professionals Attend Conference on Aging

About 150 professionals convened on the ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College recently to attend the fourth annual Conference on Aging. Rose Marie Fagan, outreach coordinator, The Pioneer Network, who served as the morning's keynote speaker, discussed pioneering approaches to change the culture of aging from the traditional nursing facilities to a culture that is life affirming, satisfying, humane, and meaningful. First-Place Winners Announced For SkillsUSA Day Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics

Students from Region I BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education and Services) districts--encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier--competed recently in a SkillsUSA (formerly Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Day leadership conference and skills Olympics at ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï College, on both the Wellsville and Alfred campuses, earlier this month.
