Lacrosse sophomore Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) and baseball sophomore Garrett Hoag (Dansville) have been named the ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï athletes of the week by the SID office. The award covers the start of the spring season for each of the teams.

Monroe CC broke open a 3-3 tie by outscoring ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï 7-1 in the 2nd quarter en route to a 17-12 Region III victory. #5 MCC improves to 4-1, 4-0 Region III while the Pioneers fall to 2-2, 2-1 Region III.

The ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï lacrosse team raced out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter but Dean (MA) College outscored the Pioneers 11-3 in the middle quarters to grab a lead they wouldn't let up in a 14-11 victory. Dean is now 1-1 on the year while Alfred is 2-1.

Hiwasse College (TN) rallied for three runs in the 9th inning to defeat ±¬×ß³Ô¹Ï 8-7. The Pioneers led 7-5 heading into the final frame but Hiwassee used two hits, two walks, and an error to rally for the victory.
